This section details proper installation of the AC NeverClog™ system, including suction device mounting, electrical integration, valve assembly, smart app configuration, and automated scheduling.
Safety Precautions (Installer Focused)
-
Do not plug the machine in when it's raining or wet out.
-
Do not work on the machine or install while the unit is plugged in.
-
Do not touch the machine while it is running.
-
Make sure that your outlet is a 120v GFCI outlet.
-
Do not plug the unit in until you’ve achieved step 6.
Step 1: Evacuation Manifold Installation
-
Locate the exterior drain line for your AC unit. Make sure that it is the drain line and not the overflow line. The drain line is the line that is dripping condensate while your HVAC system is on.
-
Take the provided AC NeverClog ™ evacuation manifold valve (shown) and install the end of the T onto the drain line of the home. (The condensation will drain out of the clear counterweighted blue flap valve placed vertically on the drain line when the HVAC system is running.
-
The evacuation manifold valve can also be placed horizontally at a slight downward pitch. It is important when the valve is placed horizontally that the flap is in the closed position when installed to be most effective as shown.
Step 2: Wall Mount
-
The wall mount has 3 screw holes. All 3 are required for the wall mount to support the AC NeverClog™. These screw points are marked in red circles on the wall mount bracket image. Please use the appropriate anchor hardware per the substrate you are mounting into. (wood screws for wood & tap cons for brick and or concrete). We have installed anchors and screws for ease of installation that should work with any substrate.
-
Make sure the device is oriented correctly as shown here and that you have placed it so that the AC NeverClog ™ tank will be a minimum of 8” off the ground.
-
After anchoring the wall mount into the wall, place the AC Neverclog ™ on to the wall mount by the ears sticking out on the left and right side of the exhaust side of the machine.
Step 3: Hooking the hose into the AC NeverClog
-
You are now ready to plug the suction hose into your AC NeverClog device. Make sure to take the elbow side with black suction insert and push it into the front of the AC NeverClog as shown.
Step 4: Hooking the hose into the Evacuation Manifold Valve
-
Plug the hose end with the nipple into the T as shown here.
-
Connecting the Quick Disconnect Smart Controller
-
The quick disconnect has an ip68 waterproof rating and is specifically designed to be easily replaceable. Simply line up the two ends, push in and twist the collar to lock it in place.
Step 5: Plugging in the Smart Controller
-
You are now ready to plug your Smart Controller in and let the pre-program cycle run. The system will NOT run immediately. It will start 24 hours AFTER you initially plug it in at the time you’ve plugged it in.
-
If you choose the pre-program, you’ve now completed your installation.
-
If you’d like to connect to Wi/Fi go to Step 7.
Step 6: System Testing and Final Steps
-
Manually activate the system by quickly pressing the Smart Controllers on/off button.
-
Confirm suction and allow the system to run for at least approximately 5-10 minutes for the first evacuation cycle.
-
After shutting the device off, empty the AC NeverClog tank by releasing the 2 tabs on the left and right side of the unit.
-
Empty and rinse the tank and tank valve.
-
Repeat until there is no more debris coming out.
-
You now have a clean AC drain line and ready for Automatic daily running of your new AC NeverClog.
Step 7: Smart Life App Configuration (not required)
